Recently, a poetry group challenge had “silver” as the theme word. I remembered this photograph which appears in my book Timescapes Japan, and suddenly this haiku came to me as I was riding on a train.

最近の歌の会のチャレンジのテーマの言葉は、”銀(silver)” でした。私の本「タイムスケープス・ジャパン」のこの写真を思い出して、電車に乗りながら突然この俳句が浮かびました。
