Present Past"
December 9, 2008 - Feb 1, 2009. Pinhole Works

Barber. The show is curated by
Marko
Hehl. This is a big venue and
40 photos by each artist will be on display. Edo plans to visit the
exhibition on Jan 24 when a celebration will be held. An artist talk is
planned for that event. A two page spread about the show including 5
photos by Edo will appear
in the German magazine "DasMagazin" a city magazine founded in Berlin
in 1924. Magazine goes on sale Dec.26, 2008

Tokyo"
December 9 -14 in Tokyo. Group show with collection of
photographers of
various nationalities. Edo had five photos in the show. His
works were color pinhole images made with the three pinhole Pinhole
Blender camera.

Edo's Pinhole
Exhibition in Monbetsu, Hokkaido
was held July 28 - August 17. This was
part of the
Pinhole
Photographic Art Society (PPAS) event that was held August
7-9 in Monbestu Hokkaido at the Mombestu Municipal Musuem. Eric Renner
and Nancy Spencer of the
Pinhole Resource
were in attendance for a symposium and
also held an exhibition at the same venue.

Pinhole Event in
Ichihara Chiba. Edo displayed 16 images from his
Pinhole Landscapes series at the Ichihara
City "Mizu to Chokoku no Oka" Museum in Minami Ichihara Chiba-ken, as
part of a month long pinhole event held from August 1 - 31.

City, Fukui Prefecture Japan.

Twenty photos from several series were on display as well as pinhole
photographs by local pinholers.
Edo was there for a talk show and book signing on March 15.
"Heartgraphy" photo
exhibition held in Chikura, Chiba Prefecture Japan
Jan 29- Feb 24 at Gallery Schiele.
This was a quaint gallery in a remodeled old Japanese style farmhouse
on
the sunny Boso Peninsula Coast two hours from Tokyo. On display were 30
photographs from the Healing Landscapes series. The talk show on Feb 10
was a full house and the show was well attended
by people from all over Chiba Prefecture and even visitors from Tokyo.

Fall Exhibition held in Kyoto Sept 2007
Edo had a show in Kyoto at Gallery Ississ. This was
his
third show at this gallery and the
first one man
show in Kyoto since 2005. He showed work from the newest series,
"Silhouette Stories". Work from the "Silhouette

Edo san's Pinhole Photo Exhibition
a show
celebrating the Publishing of Edo's new Japanese book: gEdo's
Lessons In Pinhole Photography -Photography for Slow LifehPublished by
Iwanami Publishers.
July 17th -28th at gallery NADAR/SHIBUYA355
The
show consisted of two walls showcasing some of Edo's images from the
book and as well one wall showing work by the 12 "students" who are
featured in the book.

Two Person Show held in
Richmond Virginia USA
Edo
exhibited new photos and plus some images from his book from the
Healing
Landscapes series from April 27 -May 30 together
with Herb Pulliam a landscape painter at white Canvas Gallery in
Richmond VA USA. Some work remains on the wall in another space of the
gallery and the gallery is keeping the rest of the work in their
bins. So there is still achance to see the photos if you missed
the show.
White Canvas Gallery keeps a number of my prints in the gallery and is
also selling
my book.
A good chance to see some of my work on the East Coast of the USA.

"Pinhole
Planet" group show
Kyoto Japan May 29- June 3, 2007
Held
at Gallery Space@˘
This
show featured pinhole work from a group of international photographers
from the USA, Italy, Netherlands, UK, Hong Kong. Thailand, and Korea. I
had two pieces in the show which also features work by pinhole
friends Eric Renner and Nancy Spencer of the Pinhole Resource and
Zernike Au artist and maker of pinhole cameras from Hong Kong. John
Einarsen founding editor of the Kyoto Journal who has featured my work
in that magazine also participated. Other artists included John
Ashburne, Stephano Bandini, Brice Bischoff , Sivanon Chaichorfa,
Bethany De Forest, Jong, sun Lee, Hyun-Seok Sim.
Hari-Ana 2007 ("hari ana"
means "pinhole" Japanese)

This was a "call for entries" show was held at
Roonee 247 Photography in Yotsuya
Tokyo.
I participated as a guest (my image "Follow the Line" appears on
the DM card). I gave a talk show and made comments on the
exhibited photos on June 3rd .

As a founding team member of Worldwide Pinhole Photogrpahy Day and a
participant in the

"Flying Pinhole" project Edo had three pieces in this show
which was coordinated by Jean Daubas a French photographer and
Pinhole Artist. Other "Flying Pinhole" photographers are Guillermo
Penate, Canada; Gregg Kemp, USA; Rosanne Stutts, USA; Zernike Au,

The owner
and director of Roonee formerly worked as one of the directors at the
Tokyo Photographic Culture Center and is working hard to promote
knowledge of fine art photography. The gallery also has strong interest
in alternative processes including pinhole. They have a shop selling

This was the 4th one man show at this venue. The
exhibition featured a completely new series of work on one floor and
special
editions of photographs from my
first fine art
photo book which was published in June on the other two
floors. All photographs were black and white pinhole photographs.
