In addition to my fine art photography and book projects I also do selected assignments and commissioned work. I am particularly interested in stories about craftsmen, artists, and people doing things to make the world a better place. I also do personal travel essays and reports on photography in various countries. Clients include ANA's inflight magazine, Jijigahosha, Nippon Camera and various other magazines. My photos are often requested in "series" for monthly columns and magazine covers.

Recent projects included photographing "private" home Japanese gardens, portraits of a musician, and a feature article about an organic cotton grower. I usually do the writing that accompanies these stories.
